Hood\n\t\t\t\t<\/dd><\/dl><br style=\"clear: both\" \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>Linna and I drove down to Portland on Thursday evening for a little shopping and dining on Friday.\u00c2\u00a0 Before we started our shopping excursion, we had lunch Bluehour <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bluehouronline.com\">www.bluehouronline.com<\/a> in the Pearl district and later that evening we had a dinner reservations at 9:00 p.m. at\u00c2\u00a0Genoa <a href=\"http:\/\/www.genoarestaurant.com\">www.genoarestaurant.com<\/a>, both were\u00c2\u00a0fantastic.\u00c2\u00a0 Saturday we had planned a small hike near Portland, but\u00c2\u00a0the drive to Wahkeena Trailhead, Linna and I had this urge to see Mt.\u00c2\u00a0Hood up close.\u00c2\u00a0 I was already checking out Hunchback Mountain Trail, which was along the way to Mt. Hood in a small town called\u00c2\u00a0Zigzag, so I thought&#8230;.oh hell yes, let&#8217;s go for it.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday started off\u00c2\u00a0to a\u00c2\u00a0beautiful sunny day and it only took us about a hour to drive from Portland to Mt. Hood.\u00c2\u00a0 Before we hit the windy road up to Mt. Hood, we stopped at\u00c2\u00a0a grocery store in Zigzag to pick up some trail lunch.\u00c2\u00a0 I really didn&#8217;t know where the Hunchback trail started, but I\u00c2\u00a0knew it was\u00c2\u00a0close to\u00c2\u00a0the Zigzag Ranger Station, but&#8230;.they were closed today.\u00c2\u00a0 Funny, why would they be closed on a Saturday, isn&#8217;t that a busy day for people to be outdoors?\u00c2\u00a0 I knew the trail was very near, but&#8230;.I decided to look for it after our little excursion up to Mt.
